As most of readers/watchers of Fairy Tail know, mages earn their money by requests they find and accept. On Infinite Fairy Tail we as well have a request board for those who are in guilds and guildless, these quests allow you to earn money, reputation and gain experience to move up the ladder to become a more powerful mage.
So here is the basics, all you have to do is look for a mission you want and write that you want to take this mission on, after a mod okay’s you, write up the word count and post it in the appropriate location and come back to the request page, post the link and then you just have to wait for a mod to sign off and then you get your experience and money.
However there are restrictions, we can’t have D rank mages running around doing S rank or higher missions, a mage can only accept job requests that are their rank or one rank higher and they can accept any mission that is lower in rank then them.
Of course there are guild restrictions, people from dark guilds can only do requests in the dark guild section, and people from light can only do requests from light and so forth. However everyone can do universal requests even if they are in a guild and of course Guildless people can’t do requests from any of the guild sections.
There are three different types of Requests. 1. Regular: This type of request can only be done once by everyone, so for example if you took “Help the fire department out” you cannot get it again.
2. Repeatable: This type can be done multiple times and has no cooling off period, it goes without saying that you can’t just copy and paste your post to complete the request.
3. Limited: This type of request is basically as it says, a request that is marked as limited can only be done once by one person, however Limited requests are very difficult to complete and if the person who takes it can’t complete it, the request goes back up for someone else to try and complete.
Of course, each request has its own set of rewards that are based on the rank. Here are the Jewels, Experience and Word Count you can except from each rank.Rank | Jewels | Experience | Word Count |
D | 3,500 | 2000 | 500 |
C | 10,000 | 4000 | 700 |
B | 15,000 | 6000 | 1000 |
A | 20,000 | 8000 | 1,500 |
S | 30,000 | 10,000 | 2000 |
10 - Year | 40,000 | 12,500 | 4000 |
100 - Year | 55,000 | 15,000 | 6000 |
Of course there are standards when taking a request, you can’t just write in extreme detail how beautiful the day was and how green the grass looked. Sorry nope, you have to write about the mission and how you completed it. You can write about how the old lady wouldn’t stop talking, or how the fire department smelt like sweat and how exhilarating it was to save someone from a burning house. Unless it’s about the request, it won’t get passed and you won’t get your reward.
Below you can get a sense of how each request rank varies in difficulty
D-Rank: These are your run of the mill, everyday missions. It can range from delivering a package or picking apples from a tree. There is no chance that your life will be in any danger.
C-Rank: Starting to move up in the ranks I see. These ranked missions can be a bit more challenging than the previous but still nothing to sweat. It can range from taking down small time criminals to finding someone lost in the woods. It may be dangerous but still nothing to worry about.
B-Rank: Now you are really starting to move up the ranks. Taking jobs of higher risks with higher rewards. Missions of this rank can prove challenging and there is no guarantee that you’ll come out without a fight. Keep your head up and never let your guard down.
A-Rank: Welcome to the Big Leagues! A-Ranked missions are where things get especially hairy. Be prepared for anything. Death can be around every corner.
S-Rank: Now you are really getting up there. Missions of this rank are when the shit gets real. You could assassinate a King, destroy entire guilds, or even resurrect ancient demons. You get the picture. You aren’t coming out of this unscathed.
10 Year Missions: That name isn’t for show. This is serious. There is very little room for error. Even the slightest slip up and you’ll die.
100 Year Missions: You really want to do this? You are either incredibly strong or incredibly stupid. There is a reason these missions haven’t be completed in 100 years. Good luck. Those sideways glances you get from your guild mates when you accept the quest aren’t for show. They don’t expect you to come back.
